A Nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization dedicated to the advancement of Amateur Radio Communications in Southern California.

SCIRA, Inc. was born on October 13, 2007. Its purpose is to provide a linked amateur radio repeater network for the Emergency Response Communications (ERC) Network of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from Fresno to San Diego. In the event of an emergency, official ERC communications have priority use of all SCIRA, Inc. repeaters; this is a central theme of SCIRA, Inc. Otherwise, our system is open to use by our ham community.

SCIRA, Inc. is also involved in promoting general amateur radio by providing resources such as weekly Nets, license advancement, and promoting efficient and proper emergency practices.
